Three separate series have been published in conjunction with County Federation of Women’s Institutes: The Villages of Britain Series, Within Living Memory Series and the Millennium Series. Members have turned out their attics and family albums to produce the Millennium Series – books of photographs covering the whole of the 20th century series.


In Spring ’99, a new series of walking guides was published themed around water – the sea, rivers, dykes and canals. Each walk includes at least one stretch of water along its circular route
.

Our village walk series highlights the variety and beauty of England’s villages from Bedfordshire to West Yorkshire. The teashop walks series is a rapidly expanding series of regional walking books based on good local teashops. Each volume contains 20 circular walks of varying length.

           

Other series include: Airfield – county books about Britain’s airfields in the Second World War; Smuggling – books dedicated to the history of smugglers 1700-1850 and to the legendary characters who took part in this illicit trade; In colour – affectionate portraits of the English counties in full colour with text by a well-known local historian; Privie – a nostalgic trip down the garden path to the loos of yesteryear.
